Big 50 Award

12-31-2004

Every year, REMODELING magazine - the leading publication in the home improvement industry - chooses 50 companies that set the standard for professionalism and integrity through smart marketing, exemplary business practices, unique design and extraordinary impact in the community or industry.

Menold Construction and Restoration was presented the 2004 Big50 award at the Remodeling Leadership Conference in Washington D.C. "It's an honor to be compared with the best of the best," said president Tom Menold, "And the Big50 designation gives customers confidence in knowing they can trust that we go about business in an ethical and professional manner." Big50 remodelers must go through a lengthy evaluation process based on longevity, profitability and a firm commitment to the best practice standards.

REMODELING editors, columnists and industry leaders interview people in the nominated companies, along with competitors, suppliers and subcontractors. After extensive research, they select the 50 remodelers who exemplify the best of the industry that year. "Our Big50 was in the category of Teamwork, and that's especially important to us," Tom said. "We have quite a number of projects in process at the same time, and it takes a strong team of employees, suppliers and subs to manage the details to produce successful projects and satisfied customers." The Big50 award for teamwork is presented to a company whose people work together effectively and achieve more than the sum of their individual work.

REMODELING magazine, published by Hanley Wood, LLC, is the leading magazine written exclusively for residential remodelers.
